Am I dreaming or it is reality?

I lived in Hong Kong for very long time. When I reach Taiwan, I have difficulty in communication with people. They speak in Mandarin, but I speak Cantonese. While I need to learn Mandarin, they need to learn Cantonese.

In this week, I will cook food for them, but I don't know how to cook. Anyway, I should do the job so that I would learn a lot of thing from the job, this is a chance for me. Sometimes I remember my past, for example: my parents, they cares me and I cares them too. I imagine my future, for example: how will it be to live with these thirty people? Am I dreaming or it is reality? Buddhism can tell me the answer.
